Meet the Coaches
Coach Natalie Stucky - Varsity Football & 9th/JV Basketball
Coach Stucky has been a mainstay at Milton since 2000. Now in her 30th year of coaching, she brings her love of school spirit and athleticism to Varsity Cheerleading and Varsity Gymnastics. Coach Stucky is passionate and dedicated to the success of her team.
She is the Health and Physical Education Department Head at Milton High School. When not as school, a game, a meet or practice, Mrs. Stucky enjoys traveling, shopping, working out and Disneyworld!
Coach Amanda Connell - Varsity Competition
Coach Amanda Connell teaches Economics and Cirque at Milton High School. She is a 2008 Honor Graduate from the University of West Georgia. She begins her third season coaching at Milton, and her 12th year coaching overall. Prior to joining the Milton Eagles, she was the Assistant Varsity and Head JV Competition Cheerleading Coach at West Forsyth High School (2015-17) in Cumming, GA. and at Northgate High School (2009-2015) in Newnan, GA. During her cheerleading tenure at Northgate, her competition teams earned five Region championships and three State championships. In 2009, 2010, and 2011 she was awarded GHSA Assistant Cheerleading Coach of the Year in 5A. At Northgate, she was also the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach (2012-2015), earning 2015 Area Coach of the Year. Coach Connell truly enjoys teaching Economics, and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2014, when she was also The County TOTY Runner-Up. Prior to beginning her competitive cheerleading coaching career, she served as a GHSA Competition Cheerleading Official for five years.
Coach Connell’s husband, Drew, is the Defensive Coordinator for the football team here at Milton. They have one daughter, Lyla, who is six. Milton has quickly become home for the Connell family and they are looking forward to another great year at MHS!
Coach Wendy Arnold - Varsity Basketball
Coach Wendy Arnold has been a part of GHSA cheerleading coaching and officiating since 1998. She previously was a part of many great programs in Georgia, and is excited to start her 2nd year coaching at Milton High School. She begins her 27th year in education, this year as a special education teacher at Crabapple Crossing Elementary School. Previously, she was honored twice by her peers by being elected as Teacher of the Year and County Finalist. In 2018 she earned her doctorate in education from Northcentral University.
Being an Eagle is special to Coach Arnold as she joins her family members who are part of the Milton community, daughter Amanda Connell (competition cheerleading) and son-in-law Drew Connell (football Defensive Coordinator). She also has a son, D.J. who lives in Atlanta. Go Eagles!
Coach Chelsea McCoy - JV Competition
Coach Chelsea McCoy is a kindergarten teacher at Crabapple Crossing Elementary where she is in her fourth year of teaching. Chelsea is a native of Virginia Beach. She attended North Greenville University where she graduated with honors in 2017. In addition to her personal cheer experience, she has 3 years of coaching experience. Chelsea is excited to begin her coaching career at Milton High School. Go Eagles!
When Chelsea is not teaching or coaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy. Her hobbies include working out, shopping, and relaxing on the beach.
Coach Stacy Johnson - JV/Freshmen Football
Stacy Johnson is excited about coaching the Milton Junior Varisty football squad. She has previously coached Milton football and basketball squads from 2003 - 2007, but took a break to start a family. She rejoined the Milton cheer program in 2015. Coach Johnson is in her 18th year teaching mathematics at Milton High School. She was recognized as Milton's Teacher of the Year in 2012.
When Coach Johnson is not teaching or coaching she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going to concerts, hiking, biking, and any other outdoor activity. She loves traveling and relaxing on the beach.
Coach Stephanie Blamires - JV/Freshmen Football
Stephanie Blamires is excited to be apart of the Milton Cheer coaching staff. She is a 5th grade Science and Social Studies teacher at Cogburn Woods Elementary School. Coach Blamires was a competitive gymnast for many years, and cheered throughout middle school and high school. She is returning to the south after teaching in Colorado for more than 20 years, where she coached cheerleading and soccer at her previous school.
Outside of the classroom, Coach Blamires enjoys yoga, writing and illustrating, and traveling. Her son is a college senior. Ms. Blamires received her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, and has done graduate work at William & Mary, University of Colorado, and Adams State. She has a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction and is a Talented and Gifted (TAG) Specialist.
